4) Information We Collect

We collect two types of data from Users of the Website/Service: Non-Personal Information and Personal Information.

4.1 Non-Personal Information

This is non-identifiable, anonymous information that does not pertain to a specific individual. It includes technical and behavioral information passively collected from your device, such as: device and OS type/version, browser type, screen resolution, language, Wi-Fi/connection data, and click-stream/activity on the Website. We (and our service providers, e.g., analytics tools) collect this via cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies/Tracking below).

4.2 Personal Information

This is information that identifies an individual or can reasonably be linked to one.

4.2.1 Personal Information you provide voluntarily

  • Communications with IQ Booster. Information you provide when you contact us (e.g., name, email, message content, preferences). We may record/retain communications for quality and to improve our services.

  • Mailing list. Email address and preferences if you opt in.
  • Payments. Fees may be charged via third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers. We receive tokenized payment information (and, where applicable, the last four digits), plus payment status needed for billing and support.

4.2.4 Category summary (for transparency)

  • Identifiers: name, email, IP, device IDs, cookie IDs.

  • Support content: messages and files you send to support.
  • Security/fraud signals: risk indicators, failed logins, abuse patterns.

4.3 Notes

We may cross-reference Personal Information with other data we hold about you. Non-Personal Information linked to Personal Information is treated as Personal Information for as long as the link exists. We use third-party tracking services and logs for analytics, security, and fraud prevention, and we use cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookies/Tracking section.

5) Sources of Information

There are three main methods we use to collect information:

5.1.   We collect information through your entry, connection, access and/or use of the Site. In other words, when you access or use the Site, we are aware of your usage of the Site, and may gather, collect and record the information relating to such usage. For example, when you use the Site, we gather your Technical and Behavioral Information.

5.2.   We collect information which you provide us voluntarily. For example, we collect Personal Information that you provide via the “Contact Us” form on our Site. We will inform you prior to collecting your Personal Information if it is requested on a voluntary basis and the consequences of not providing voluntary Personal Information.

5.3.   We collect information from public sources. We may supplement personal information that we collect about you with information which you have made public on websites associated with you on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook etc.

6) How We Use Information

6.1 Non-Personal Information
We process Non-Personal Information to:

  • Provide and improve the Website/Service (including performance, layouts, and features).
  • Create statistics/insights about usage and preferences to understand which features are most used.

  • Handle billing and account administration (including payment status and customer support).
  • Perform security, fraud prevention, and debugging (e.g., risk scoring, abuse detection).
  • Conduct analytics and advertising/retargeting for IQ Booster across websites/devices (you may opt out as described in Cookies/Tracking and the U.S. State Privacy Addendum).

Email interaction tracking (open/click signals) to improve relevance and measure deliverability.

7) Legal Bases

7.1 GDPR / EEA–UK–Swiss legal bases

Where the GDPR (or UK/Swiss equivalents) applies, we process Personal Information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service/tests, operate your account, deliver reports, and handle support.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure (fraud prevention, debugging), to perform analytics and advertising/retargeting (balanced against your rights and interests), to improve the Service, and for internal record-keeping.
  • Consent — for certain cookies and similar technologies, analytics/ads where required, and for marketing emails. You may withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing prior to withdrawal).
  • Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting, regulatory or law-enforcement requests.

You may contact [email protected] to learn more about how a specific purpose maps to a legal basis.

7.2 Japan (APPI) — purpose of use & transfers

For users in Japan, we specify our purpose of use in this Policy (see “How We Use Information”) and handle Personal Information in line with that purpose. We obtain consent where required (for example, certain disclosures/“third-party provision” and cross-border transfers), and provide choices for interest-based advertising via our cookie/opt-out tools. Requests regarding access/correction/suspension of use can be sent to [email protected].

7.3 Republic of Korea (PIPA) — consent & other grounds

For users in Korea, we rely on consent or other grounds permitted by law (e.g., to perform a contract you request, comply with legal duties, or protect vital interests). We provide separate notices of collection, retention periods, and third-party sharing categories in this Policy. You may exercise rights (access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing) via [email protected]. Where applicable, cross-border transfers are made with appropriate safeguards and notice.

7.4 United States (state privacy laws)

U.S. state privacy laws generally do not require “legal bases” like the GDPR. We provide notice and choice, including the ability to opt out of sale/share/targeted advertising and to exercise access, deletion, and correction rights, as described in our U.S. State Privacy Addendum and Your Privacy Choices controls. You can also email [email protected] for requests.

7.5 Withdrawing consent; objections

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time through our cookie/marketing controls or by emailing [email protected]. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to such processing; we will honor your request where required by law (for example, for direct marketing).

8) How We Share Information

  • Payments (PayPal, card payment processors): billing, fraud checks, and payment status. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Support tools & communications (ticketing, email delivery, in-product messaging).

We may collect, hold, and process Personal Information through cloud services operated by these providers, which may be located outside your jurisdiction, as reasonable for business purposes.

The recipient may be located in countries outside your jurisdiction.

8.5 No monetary sale

We do not sell Personal Information for money. We may “share” Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by certain U.S. state laws (see U.S. State Privacy Addendum). You can opt out of sale/share/targeted advertising via Your Privacy Choices or by emailing [email protected].

9) Cookies & Tracking

9.1 Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you access or use the Website/Service, we and/or our third-party service providers may use industry-standard technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixels, clear GIFs, local storage, and SDKs (collectively, “Cookies”) to: recognize your device, improve performance, deliver a more personalized experience, track usage, estimate audience size and patterns, determine approximate location (e.g., city via IP), prevent fraud/abuse, perform analytics, develop the Service, and serve or measure advertising/retargeting.
